This painting depicts the purple coral reefs of Yukatan peninsula. They reach out to the surface of the water and to the sun. They are the home to many different species of fish and they try to stand strong despite all strong waves, and adversaries. The detailed images show how painting with a needle enables a unique blend of colors.
